Change Management Consulting - Lean Defined |

What is Lean? A waste-reduction strategy which can benefit any organization! |

Guaranteed Results! |
The central idea behind "Lean" is that it is possible to significantly reduce process cycle time by eliminating waste. Lean looks at an organization from the customer's perspective - from the outside-in. By understanding the transaction lifecycle from the customer's perspective, we can discover what the customer is seeing and feeling. With this knowledge, we identify opportunities to eliminate waste and add significant value.
The Production System Design
Laboratory (PSD), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) states
that "Lean production is aimed at the elimination of waste in every area
of production including customer relations, product design, supplier
networks and factory management. Its goal is to incorporate less human
effort, less inventory, less time to develop products, and less space to
become highly responsive to customer demand while producing top quality
products in the most efficient and economical manner possible."
But the principles of Lean - reducing waste in critical processes
- can be applied to service industries as well.
